(SUB-SEKTOR TANAMAN MAKANAN) 2016A STATISTIK TANAMAN

Penerbitan Buku Statistik Tanaman Jabatan Pertanian Negeri Johor bagi tahun 2016 ini bertujuan sebagai sumber rujukan dan maklumat asas bagi perancangan pembangunan sektor pertanian khususnya dalam bidang tanaman. Data-data yang dipaparkan dalam penerbitan ini meliputi Sub-Sektor Tanaman Makanan dan Industri seperti sayur-sayuran, buah-buahan, tanaman ladang/kontan, herba dan rempah ratus, serta tanaman industri.

Penerbitan ini mengandungi data asas yang telah diterbitkan dalam penerbitan Jabatan Pertanian Malaysia. Semua maklumat yang diperolehi adalah daripada siasatan dan tinjauan oleh Agen Pengembangan Kawasan (APK) di lokasi yang dikenalpasti dan telah diselaraskan diperingkat Jabatan Pertanian Negeri dan Jabatan Pertanian Malaysia.

Diharapkan penerbitan buku ini dapat membantu pegawai-pegawai dalam perancangan dan pelaksanaan projek-projek jabatan serta dijadikan sumber maklumat yang berguna kepada agensi-agensi kerajaan dan swasta, usahawan-usahawan pertanian, pelajar-pelajar, dan orang awam.

Pencapaian hasrat menjadi sebuah negara maju yang berpendapatan tinggi memerlukan sumbangan yang lebih signifikan daripada semua sektor ekonomi termasuk industry agromakanan kepada pertumbuhan ekonomi negara. Industri agromakanan perlu merealisasikan sasaran pertumbuhannya untuk memastikan negara dapat mencapai pertumbuhan purata tahunan yang telah disasarkan. Transformasi dan pemodenan industri agromakanan akan diteruskan bagi meningkatkan daya saing industri ini supaya memberi sumbangan yang lebih signifikan kepada pertumbuhan ekonomi dan melahirkan lebih ramai usahawan tani yang berpendapatan tinggi.

OBJEKTIF

Dasar Agromakanan Negara (DAN) digubal dengan objektif seperti berikut:

i) Menjamin bekalan makanan yang mencukupi dan selamat dimakan;

ii) Menjadikan industri agromakanan sebagai industri yang berdaya saing dan mampan; dan

iii) Meningkatkan tahap pendapatan usahawan tani.
