    INTRODUCTION

    D.U.G.I compaX??? What isD.U.G.I compaX..??D.U.G.I compaX is the acronim for

    Durable. Universal. Generated. Innovation. Nowadays, most of the people in the world are busy to

    manage their time to solve their house chores , the problem is most people in the world experience

    serious problem which is the problem of cleaning the house . This can be proved by surveys that have

    been made available 18 out of 20 respondents (90%) saying that they do have housecleaning

    problem.Another minor factor is housewives will feel tired after cleaning their house and eventually

    they dont have time to spend time with their family. Because of these factors, This World need a

    robot which could clean the house itself without the aid of housemaids. So, using robotic principles

    and systems, we can solve the household problems in a conventional way . "ROBOT FOR LIFE

    Improvement" is the theme in the category that we took part. The robot that we created is very

    precise according to the requirements in this category.

    To overcome these problems, a robot that can help human when facing problems of

    cleaning the house is made by us Hafizi and Haris. The D.U.G.I compaXrobot can MOP, VACUUM,SWEEP, AIR FRESHENER and SPRAY pesticides.

    PROBLEM STATEMENT

    Vacuum cleaners ( an electrical household appliance used for cleaning floors, carpets and furniture) are

    widely used all over the world. But we never heared about multifunction vacuum cleaner. ROBOT

    FOR LIFE IMPROVEMENT helped our team to generate new ideas to create a futuristical

    housekeeping robot. The vacuum cleaner is used to suck dust or things such as stapler bullets or

    small bits of papers. We made the vacuum cleaner by using zinc that could be shaped easily.

    As we all know, mopping stands for household implement made of absorbent material

    attached to a typically long handle and used for washing, dusting, or drying floors. It could be a burden

    to the housewive to do their house work. Our robot is also built in with a mopping system as if it was a

    human being. Its amazing right?

    This robots novelty is when it encounters dark places that are usually hard to reach, there

    must be something living under there or on the other hand insects mainly pests such as cockroaches.

    Do you know what our robot could do? Our robot could spray the dark places such as underneath a

    closet or low shelf etc. and eventually kill the pests such as mosquitoes and cockroaches.

    The conclusion is, by using this robot, all the household work like vacuum cleaning,fill the

    house with harmonical odour, sweep, mopping the floor and spray pests are solved and eventually to

    make our life more relax.

    DESIGN PRINCIPLE

    There are 5 main funtion on the robot 1st

    Vacuum Cleaner, 2nd

    Mopping System, 3rd

    Insects Spray, 4th

    Sweep, and lastly 5th

    Air Freshener.

    1) Vacuum Cleaner

    Used to suck dust on the floor of the house properly

    Made from zink pieces so that easily to

    shape.

    Uses 4 computer fans to increase the

    ability of vacuum to suck dust.

    2) Mopping system

    During the vacuuming session, mopping system automatically launch as we had programmed

    2 sponges are used in mopping system.

    It is located at the rear of the robot.

    2 motor are used to spin in the opposite

    direction of the sponges

    3) Insects Spray

    The robot will spray the places that are in dark condition with low light intensity

    The spraying system will be generated when the robot encounters dark places such as under

    the table, cupboard and bed.

    The spray will operate when the light intensity is low by using the Light sensor.

    Control the movement of robot.

    Control the movement of the robots left wheel and right wheel.

    The NXT port used are port B and port C.

    Used to operate the spraying mechanism by connecting it to Light Sensor.

    The control center for the sensors namely ultrasonic sensor,touch sensor and light sensor

    Used to operate the brushing mechanism and the mopping system.

    The Brushing System and the Mopping System are operated continuously when the robotstarts.

    The NXT port used are port A and B.

    SPECIAL FUNCTION

    Sweep Brush Sweep the dust and channels it into the vacuum cleaner.

    Ultrasonic Sensor

    Located at in the front left of the robots body To detect distance from the robots body to lower floors

    such as stairs and prevents the robot from dropping and

    damaging the robot

    Water Storage tank

    Storage of soap water that is used for the mopping

    Mechanism. 2 containers are used in this system( as a water container to

    hold water which will be channeled by the

    water pump in this Mopping System).

    Light Sensor

    Detect the light intensity in dark place so that the spraying

    mechanism can operate.

    Air fresheners (Air Wick)

    A pair of Air Fresheners are used at left side and right side

    of the vacuums fans.

    To fill the house with harmonical odour such as Lavender,

    Apple, and Lemon.

    Rubber wiper

    Used to dry the water made by the mopping system.

    Locate at the rear of the D.U.G.I COMPAX robot

    Main tyre

    4 tyres are used and each 2 tyres willbe controlled by one

    motor.

    To control the movement of the robot.

    Supporter Wheels

    3 supporter wheels are used in this robot.

    To support the weight of the robot which is 2.6 KG.

    12 Volt Batteries

    For this robot, a pair of 12 Volts batteries are used to

    operate 4 fans of the Vacuum Cleaner.
