Bhd. (“MEASAT”) announced today it had reached agreement with Maxis Communications Bhd (“Maxis”), Malaysia’s leading mobile telecommunications operator, on the renewal of a long-term multiple transponder lease for capacity on the MEASAT-3 satellite. Maxis, which currently operates in three key Asian markets, collectively serving over 30 million customers, offers a comprehensive range of communications services, including mobile and fixed line telecommunications, value-added data and content services, wireless and fixed line broadband services and international gateway services. “MEASAT has been working with Maxis since 1997. Our satellite capacity is used to support Maxis’ GSM services, corporate VSAT networks, IP connectivity, USP projects and news gathering services,” informed Yau Chyong Lim, MEASAT Senior Director – Sales & Marketing. “We are privileged that Maxis has renewed their contract with MEASAT for satellite capacity. We thank Maxis for their support, and we look forward to continuing a long running and mutually beneficial partnership,” Yau concluded. MAXIS RENEWS MULTI-TRANSPONDER LEASE ON MEASAT SATELLITE NETWORK

KUALA LUMPUR, 2 July 2009 – MEASAT Satellite Systems Sdn. Bhd. (“MEASAT”) announced today it

had reached agreement with Maxis Communications Bhd (“Maxis”), Malaysia’s leading mobile

telecommunications operator, on the renewal of a long-term multiple transponder lease for capacity on the

MEASAT-3 satellite.
