On behalf of the team, I am proud to present the first Clinical Research Centre Hospital Kuala Lumpur

(CRC HKL) Newsletter for 2016. My heartiest appreciation to those of you who have contributed, with-

out which this would not have been possible. Through the creation of our first newsletter, we hope to

promote research culture; make it interesting and informative to seasoned as well as new researchers.

It has always been our mission to improve the quality of health and healthcare through the application

of a high-quality and credible clinical research. This newsletter will be a collegial platform to share

knowledge, experience and success in various aspect of clinical research from recognition to awards to

publication.

In this edition, we have included a list of publications by our distinguished colleagues in Hospital Kuala

Lumpur. We would like to encourage you to notify us your publications or achievements so that we

may build this section in the following editions. We also highlight the latest research workshops/

trainings organized with great participation and support from various healthcare personnel. I sincerely hope that these efforts would

assist in making us more receptive as well as help to foster and motivate an interest to embark in clinical research.

CRC HKL Newsletter aims to deliver to you topics or issues of interest for all our readers. We will release our newsletter biannually.

Readers can get the electronic version of our e-newsletter in the CRC website at www.crc.gov.my. Let us know your feedback and

ideas on how we can collaborate to make HKL our nation’s main clinical hub.

April 2016 - CRC HKL has organized Research

Methodology Workshop which was held at Semi-

nar Room CRC HKL, delivered by Prof. Dr. Syed

Zulkifli Dr. Zuraidah & Dr. Husyairi from (UKMC)

April 2016 - Interdepartmental Workshop with

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Abstract should be based on original research and should NOT have been presented at any international scientific conferences.

Participants may submit more than ONE abstract.

Abstracts must be submitted in ENGLISH.

Studies conducted in Ministry of Health facilities must submit NMRR ID with their abstract.

Only studies involving human subjects will be considered. This includes clinical studies (observational and interven-tional) and cross sectional surveys, case reports & case series.

The Scientific Committee will review and reserve the right to decide on the acceptance of abstracts for poster and oral presentation.
