Last Monday, our English teacher has announced a Story Telling Competition at the
assembly. He/ She urge us to participate in the competition. We were ery e!cited and

Last week, we saw an advertisement of a Story Telling Competition on the
English Bulletin board. The poster promises hefty prizes. e were very e!"ited.
e wanted to parti"ipate in the "ompetition. e took the entry form and filled it
up. e then submit it to the tea"her in "harge. e prepared ourselves by
reading storybook from the library.
The "ompetition went on. e did our best in the "ompetition. There were
many great story teller and even the #udges had a hard time to de"ide the
winner.
The prize giving "eremony held later that day. . Lu"kily, $ won the
"ompetition. $ felt very proud. The prizes were given by the headmaster. %e
"ongratulated me. $ thanked him.

)n the school holiday, my $amily and * went $or picnic. We went to the beach by car.
)n that day, my mum and * prepared some $oods and snac#s to be ta#en with us. We $eel
ery e!cited.
My dad droe us to the beach. We sang many songs along the road. We arried at
the beach at + a.m. We loo#ed $or a shady spot and set up the mats $or us to sit. We ate our
brea#$ast and dran# our tea.
$ter we too# our brea#$ast, we wal#ed along the seaside and collected seashells. My
sister was ery e!cited. She collected the seashells as many as she could and putted it in the
plastic bag. $ter a long wal#, we stop and sat down. My mum suggested to us to build a
sand castle. We made a huge sand castle. My sister putted on the seashells on the sand
castle.
We wal# bac# to the spot where we put our $ood. We hae our lunch at -. p.m.%e$ore we go bac#, my $ather brought us to play in the water. We changed our swimming
attire and went into the sea.
We droe bac# home at 0. pm. We $elt ery tired howeer, we are ery happy.

&n the s"hool holiday, my family and $ went for pi"ni". e went to the
bea"h by "ar. &n that day, my mum and $ prepared some foods and sna"ks to
be taken with us. e feel very e!"ited.
'y dad drove us to the bea"h. e sang many songs along the road. e
arrived at the bea"h at ( a.m. e looked for a shady spot and set up the mats
for us to sit. e ate our breakfast and drank our tea.
)fter we took our breakfast, we walked along the seaside and "olle"ted
sea shells. 'y sister was very e!"ited. She "olle"ted the sea shells as many as
she "ould and putted it in a plasti" bag. )fter a long walk, we stop and sat
down. 'y mum suggested us to build a sand "astle. e made a huge sand
"astle. 'y sister putted on the sea shells on the sand "astle.
e walk ba"k to the spot where we put our food. e have our lun"h at
*.+ p.m. Before we go ba"k, my father brought us to play in the water. e

The tea"her in "harge divided the people into groups. Ea"h group has
their own task to be "ompleted. Some of them are assigned to "ut the grass,
some are "leaning the "lassroom, "leaning the drain and "olle"ting rubbish.
The tea"hers and parents "o0operated with ea"h other to "omplete their task.
)fter they had finished their work, they gathered up at the "anteen. They
took their food and drinks. They went home at 1. p.m.
