O n4thMay 2017,TCB’s representatives visited SekolahKebangsaanTasek, Sekolah JenisKebangsaanCinaChungTackandSekolahJenisKebangsaanTamilKg.Simeeforthe&irstBursarydisbursementin

year2017. Atotalof60studentsfromthethreeschoolswereselectedtoreceive&inancialassistancefromTCB.Thiseventwasattendedbytherespectiveschools’headmastersandteachers.

In its running for the7thyearsince theprogramme’s introduction in2011, theTCBBursaryProgramhassucceededinachievingitsobjectiveofproviding&inancialassistancetodeservingprimaryschoolstudentstoeasetheir&inancialburdenwhilepursuingtheirprimaryeducationandatotalof268studentshadbene&ittedfrom this programme. TCB has received positive feedback from teachers of all three schools and fromstudentswhoshowedtheirgratitudetothe&inancialassistancegiven.

TCB believes that early education is important in creating a progressive, knowledgeable and educatedworkforceforthefuture.

the less fortunate during Labour Day. TCB’s Union

CommitteetogetherwithTCB’smanagementstaffmadevisitsto

charity organizations with the aim of nurturing closer ties

between TCB and the local community. This year, the team

visited Sekolah Semangat Maju Kg. Tawas Tasek, Rumah

Anak-AnakYatimTambun,GoodShepherdFamilyHomeSilibin

andRumahSejahteraJelapang.Thehomesreceiveddonationsin

theformoffood,dailyessentialitemsandmoney.

The purpose of the activities was to bring awareness to the

community and also help nurture closer relationship between

TCBstaffandthelessfortunateasapartofitssocialresponsibilitytothelocalcommunity.TCBwillcontinue

thisresponsibilityrole in thecommunityat large, irrespectiveofrace,creedorreligion.Thisapproachhas

beenandwillcontinuetobethemainstayofTCB’scommunitycareprogrammes.

A sanannualevent,TCBhelditsblooddonationdriveon11thJanu-

ary, 2017. Thiswas organized byHumanResourceDepartment in

collaborationwiththeJabatanPerubatanTransfusi,Hospital

RajaPermaisuriBainun, Ipoh.A total of 38TCBemployees

cameforwardtodonateblood.KudostotheTCBemployees

whoanswered thecall to give thegiftof life towards those

who are in need of blood to support an extensive range of

medical conditions as well as major operations and other

medicalinterventions.
