AbstrakKajian Tindakan dijalankan untuk menilai sejauh manakah keberkesanan Modul Selan Osni dalam membantu murid-murid yang belum menguasai kemahiran asas membaca. Subjek kajian terdiri daripada 5 orang murid dari Tahun 1Y yang tidak mencapai konstruk asas dalam Saringan LINUS 2.0 yang dijalankan pada bulan Oktober 2014. Pengumpulan data dilaksanakan melalui beberapa siri latihan dan Ujian Akhir. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan 3 orang subjek kajian ini menunjukan peningkatan kebolehan membaca yang memberangsangkan semasa Ujian Akhir berbanding pencapaian semasa lathan 1. Terdapat 2 orang subjek kajian yang memperolehi markah penuh semasa Ujian Akhir dan mencatat peningkatan yang sangat membanggakan. Keputusan Ujian Akhir ini telah membuktikan bahawa penggunaan Modul Selan Osni yang diintegrasikan dengan bacaan berlagu sangat berkesan dalam membantu murid menguasai kemahiran membaca dengan lebih cepat dan efisien.

ABSTRACTThe purpose of the study was to determine the extent to which the Selan Osni Module coulg be effective in helping resolve the problem of week students poor ability in basic skills of reading. The respondents consisted of 5 pupils from Year 1Y who failed to achieve the basic construct in the LINUS 2.0 screening which held in the month of October, 2014. The data for this study was collected using exercises and a post-tests. the result showed that 3 respondents achieved significantly higher marks in the post-tests compared to test 1. There were 2 respondents who obtained full marks, showing tremendous improvement in their performance in the post-tests. the results of the study showed that the used of Selan Osni Module integrated with melodious reading method is effective to a large extent of aiding the week pupils to improve their basic skills of reading.
