Dear colleagues and friends,

Registration for the 30th congress of the French Society of Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery is now open. As a reminder, the event will take place on June 1, 2 & 3 in Marseilles at the exquisite Palais du Pharo.

As announced, this year’s event will be held under the auspices of openness: openness to new techniques that are increasingly sophisticated and performing in our line of activity, and openness to other fellow countries in particular European and Mediterranean ones.

Marseilles was the European Capital of Culture in 2013. Not only will it be the European Capital of Sport in 2017 but definitely too the Capital of Aesthetics.

Our Faculty members have carefully set up a top class agenda for this unprecedented event that will undoubtedly raise your enthusiasm and meet our younger colleagues’ expectations. 15 sessions organised as round tables will foster talks and interaction for us to find inspiration and both practical and innovative solutions.

The ISAPS meeting (International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery) will be held on Thursday June 1. Contributions will be given in English and simultaneous translation services will be provided.

Entertainment has also carefully been organised: sports, music, good food and more will be on offer throughout the event between working sessions. As part of our social programme, a private visit of MuCEM i.e. the Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilizations is also on the agenda.

Our President’s Dinner will take place on Friday June 2 at the ‘Cercle des Officiers’, a stone’s throw from the Palais du Pharo. The event will close on Saturday evening to give you the unique opportunity of staying over through Whit Monday and visit Marseilles and its surroundings whether alone or with your spouse or partner.

Chers collègues, chers amis,

Les inscriptions au 30ème congrès national de la Société française de Chirurgie esthétique et plastique sont désormais ouvertes. Ce congrès aura lieu, rappelons-le, du 1er au 3 juin à Marseille, dans le très beau Palais du Pharo.

Ainsi que je vous l’avais annoncé, il sera placé sous le signe de l’ouverture : ouverture aux nouvelles techniques, toujours plus pointues et performantes dans notre domaine, et aux autres pays, ceux en particulier d’Europe et de la Méditerranée.

Marseille a été la capitale européenne de la Culture en 2013, elle sera, en 2017, non seulement la capitale européenne du Sport mais aussi celle de l’Esthétique.

Pour marquer cet événement inédit, tout en répondant aux attentes de nos jeunes confrères, notre comité scientifique vous a concocté un programme de haut niveau, qui promet d’être passionnant. 15 sessions, sous forme de tables rondes, privilégieront la discussion et l’interactivité, le but étant que chacun de nous reparte la tête pleine de nouvelles idées et de solutions pratiques et innovantes. Notre congrès est de plus, comme tous les ans, validant pour l’obligation annuelle de DPC avec indemnisation des chirurgiens libéraux.

La journée de jeudi (1er juin) sera placée sous l’égide de L’ISAPS (International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery). Les échanges se feront en anglais, avec la possibilité d’une traduction simultanée.

Nous aurons également une journée et demi dédiée aux assistantes que nous avons voulu placer au cœur de l’expérience patient : si les aspects techniques et réglementaires demeurent des préoccupations majeures, le développement personnel constitue le socle de la relation patient et au sein des équipes.

Tout au long de ce congrès, des animations sportives, musicales, gustatives et festives seront proposées entre les temps de travail. Une visite privée du magnifique Musée des Civilisations de l’Europe et de la Méditerranée (MUCEM) sera organisée dans le cadre du programme social.

Le dîner du Président se tiendra le vendredi 2 juin au Cercle des Officiers, à deux pas du Palais du Pharo. Le congrès prendra fin le samedi soir, pour vous laisser la possibilité de découvrir ou profiter de Marseille le reste de ce long week-end de Pentecôte avec vos conjoints.
