Hampir 2,000 Pengunjung Peroleh Manfaat Dalam Sektor Automotif di Hari Terbuka MAI – Sabah
Hari Terbuka MAI anjuran Malaysia Automotive Institute (MAI), berlangsung pada 15 September 2018, bertempat di Dewan Foo Chow, Penampang, Sabah. Program ini dirasmikan oleh YB Tuan Darell Leiking, Menteri MITI.
MAI adalah sebuah agensi di bawah Kementerian Perdagangan Antarabangsa dan Industri (MITI).Hari Terbuka MAI dianjurkan bagi membawa pengenalan kepada industri automotif tempatan dan program-program anjuran Institut Automotif Malaysia (MAI) terus kepada warga Sabah.
Kira-kira hampir 2,000 pengunjung telah membanjiri Hari Terbuka MAI. Para pengunjung Hari Terbuka MAI meliputi pelbagai peringkat umur seperti lepasan sekolah, graduan universiti serta para usahawan. Ini kerana, program-program anjuran MAI tidak hanya mengfokuskan kepada satu aspek sahaja, malahan program-program ini dirangkum mengikut 4 tonggak MAI; peluang kerjaya, peluang perniagaan, peluang peningkatan kerjaya dan peluang pemerkasaan perniagaan.
Tambahan lagi, program-program ini bertujuan meningkatkan kemahiran dan pengetahuan tenaga kerja yang seiring dengan kehendak industri automotif terkini, menerusi latihan teori dan praktikal secara langsung dengan kerjasama daripada pihak industri. Lebih 200 belia Sabah telah berdaftar bagi program-program yang dipromosikan di Hari Terbuka MAI seperti IPC Pengilangan, AICE Industri Automotif dan IPC Mekanik.
Bagi mereka yang sudah pun berkecimpung di dalam industri automotif, terdapat juga program khusus untuk meningkatkan kemahiran melalui latihan dan pengiktirafan Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia. Program latihan ini juga disediakan bagi mereka yang berumur seawal 16 tahun dan ke atas. Paling menarik, biasiswa penuh bagi bakal-bakal sarjana melalui dana berjumlah RM 500,000 ditawarkan. Tambahan pula, dana berjumlah RM 500,000 ditawarkan bagi calon-calon ijazah kedoktoran, dengan peluang penyelidikan di Australia.
Hari Terbuka MAI turut membuka peluang usahawan tempatan mendalami program para keusahawanan bagi meningkatkan prestasi perniagaan. Program-program yang ditawarkan meliputi aspek keusahawaan seperti peningkatan jualan dan keuntungan serta teknik-teknik pemasaran secara digital. Antara program tersebut ialah, Workshop Transformation Program (WTP), Dealers Entrepreneurship Enhancement Program (DEEP) dan Pemasaran Digital.
Di samping itu, para pengunjung dapat berinteraksi secara terus dengan pegawai bertugas program, perkongsian pengalaman serta bimbingan telah diberikan di sana. Pengunjung ke Hari Terbuka MAI juga ditawarkan pemeriksaan kereta secara percuma anjuran MAI, “Car Care Week” (CCW). CCW merupakan suatu program yang dirangka khas untuk pengguna kereta, dan ia

bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesedaran mengenai kepentingan pemeriksaan kenderaan secara berkala. Hari Terbuka MAI turut memberi peluang kepada kami untuk lebih mengenali warga tempatan sekaligus dapat mengeratkan hubungan silaturahim.
Tambahan lagi, panduan penjagaan turut diberikan kepada semua pengunjung oleh mekanik-mekanik terlatih. Justeru itu, pemilik kenderaan dapat mengenali keadaan kenderaan mereka dengan lebih mendalam serta memperoleh pelbagai info keselamatan. Pengunjung program CCW juga diberi baucar daripada Montis F1 Workshop bernilai RM50.
“Salah satu komponen penting dalam membawa industri automotif ke peringkat global adalah penyertaan rakyat di dalam industri ini. Penyertaan ini tidak terhad hanya kepada mereka yang berkecimpung di dalam industri ini sebagai peniaga ataupun pekerja, malahan budaya dan minat yang tinggi dalam sektor automotif di kalangan rakyat jelata,” kata Menteri Perdagangan Antarabangsa dan Industri, YB Tuan Darell Leiking.
“Trend global juga sedang menuju ke arah pembuatan kenderaan berteknologi tinggi, yang bakal meluaskan lagi skop kemahiran yang diperlukan oleh industri automotif di masa hadapan. Banyak peluang baharu yang bakal muncul seperti analisa data, pengurusan inventori, pemeriksaan kenderaan mahupun modifikasi aksesori kenderaan,” tambahnya lagi.
Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif MAI, Dato’ Madani Sahari menyahut seruan Menteri MITI di dalam membuka lebih banyak peluang kerjaya seiring dengan keperluan industri.
“Terdapat lebih dari 700,000 pekerja di dalam sector automotif pada hari ini. Lebih ramai lagi tenaga mahir diperlukan untuk membawa Malaysia ke peringkat seterusnya – dengan menjana lebih banyak peluang pekerjaan bernilai tinggi melalui pemerkasaan syarikat-syarikat automotif yang mempunyai keupayaan daya saing yang lebih tinggi,” kata Dato’ Madani.
Lebih 30 cabutan bertuah telah dimenangi oleh para pengunjung, pemenang hadiah utama telah membawa pulang sebuah motosikal. Tahniah kami ucapkan kepada semua pemenang.
Penyampaian sijil serta surat tawaran Workshop Transformation Program (WTP) dan surat tawaran Industry LED Professional Certificate (IPC) kepada warga Sabah yang telah sertai program-program anjuran MAI turut berlangsung di Hari Terbuka MAI.
Majlis penyampaian sijil disampaikan oleh YB Tuan Darell Leiking diiringi oleh YBhg. Datuk Isham Ishak, Ketua Setiausaha MITI, YB Jennifer Lasimbang, Pembantu Menteri Kerajaan Negeri Sabah, Tuan Robert Stidi, Pegawai Daerah Penampang, Dato’ Madani Sahari, Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif MAI.

of Technical TermsSITS ComponentsCharges for the use of intellectual propertyCharges for the use of intellectual property include:
• Chargers for the use of propriety rights, such as patents, trademarks, copyrights, industrial processes and designs, trade secrets, and franchises, where rights arise from research and development, as well as from marketing; and
• Charges for licenses to reproduce and/or distribute intellectual property embodied in produced originals or prototypes, such as copyrights on books and manuscripts, computer software, cinematographic works and sound recordings, and related rights, such as for the recording of live performances and for television, cable or satellite broadcast.
Telecommunications, Computer, and Information ServicesTelecommunications services encompass the broadcast of transmission of sound, image, data, or other information by telephone, telex, telegram, radio, and television satellite, electronic mail and facsimile including business network services, teleconferencing and support services.
Computer services consist of hardware and software related services and data processing services. These include sales of customized and non-customized software, installation and consultancy services. Information services include news agencies services, database services (database conception, storage, and dissemination), and direct non-bulk subscriptions to newspapers and periodicals, whether by mail, electronic transmission or other means.
Other Business ServicesOther business services comprise research and development services, professional and management consulting services, technical, trade related and other business services.
Research and development services cover those services associated with basic research, applied research, and experimental development of new products and processes. This includes outright sales as a result of research and development work, such as; patents, copyrights, information or industrial processes. Professional and management consulting services cover advisory, guidance and operational assistance services provided to businesses for business policy and strategy and the overall planning, structuring and control of an organization. This include legal services, accounting, management consulting, managerial services, public relations services, advertising, market research and public opinion polling services. Technical, trade-related and other business services comprise of services related to architectural, engineering, other technical, waste treatment and de-pollution, agricultural, mining, operating leasing, trade-related and other business services.
Personal, Cultural, and Recreational ServicesRefers to services associated to audio-visual and related services; and other personal, cultural, and recreational services. This includes charges for access to encrypted televisions channels, rental of audio-visual and related products, fees to actors, directors and producers, education services, health services, sports, recreational and entertainment services.
Government Goods and ServicesThese are transactions by the public sector with non-residents, which are not recorded elsewhere in the BOP components. The transactions include expenditures (goods and services) of Malaysia’s diplomatic and military representative abroad and of foreign governments’ diplomatic and military representative in Malaysia. Export covers operating and capital expenditures of foreign diplomatic missions, trade missions and international organisations in Malaysia. Import covers operating and capital expenditure of Malaysia’s embassies, high commissions, trade missions and students’ departments abroad.
