3 A vacuum flask contains 0.52 kg of water. The initial temperature of the water is 81°C. A cylindrical cork of cross-sectional area 5.0 x 10-3 m2 and thickness of 30 nun is used to close the flask. 45 minutes later, the temperature of the water drops to 76°C. The average temperature of the inner and outer surfaces of the cork are 52 °C and 21°C respectively.

(a) Calculate the fraction of the total heat lost from the flask which passes through the cork. [3 marks]
