The Best Thing to Happen to Mercury Determinations
With the Perkin-Elmer Flow Injection Mercury System (FIMS), trace mercury determinations are more sensitive, faster and more cost-effective than ever before. FIMS is a compact, easy-to-use AA spectrometer with a built-in flow injection system, specially designed for automatic Hg determinations. And FIMS uses methodology and equipment approved by the U.S. E.P.A. (Perkin-Elmer Method 245.1A).
FIMS offers outstanding analytical performance with exceptional sensitivity, precision, accuracy, and detection limits (<0.01 |ig/L). With analysis times <30 seconds/determination. FIMS allows you to achieve maximum sample throughput.
Because FIMS uses very low amounts of reagents, typical reagent costs are only a few cents per determination. In addition, smaller
volumes of samples and reagents mean minimal waste disposal expense.
FIMS is fully controlled by a personal computer with Perkin-Elmer's innovative, easy-to-use AA \̂ inlab software operated in the Microsoft® \\ indows" environment. The system's capabilities
can be expanded further with the optional Amalgamation Accessory or the Automatic On-line Microwave Digestion System. The Amalgamation Accessory extends the FIMS detection limit by more than 10-fold. The Microwave Digestion System allows automatic on-line
sample digestion, providing further time savings, increased sample throughput and reduced risk of contamination.
