    9. The diagram below shows an accident involving a double-decker bus.

    During the incident, there were 37 people in the bus. A total of 15 were killed in the

    crash together with another 12 men.

    The figure of 27 deaths, was deemed the worst crash in the history of road accidents

    crashes in the country. It claimed the most lives after an accident involving an express

    bus at Km 229 of the North-South Expressway near Bukit Gantang, Perak, which claimed

    21 lives and injured eight others on August 13, 2007.

    "Double-decker sightseeing bus is said to have lost control while driving down the hillbefore crashing into the concrete road divider near Kampung Juang here.

    "The bus was then thrown into the opposite lane and overturned into a ditch as deep as

    one meter," he told reporters at the scene here today.

    Ketika kejadian, terdapat seramai 37 orang dalam bas tersebut. Seramai 15 yang

    terbunuh dalam nahas itu adalah wanita manakala selebihnya 12 orang lelaki.Dengan

    angka 27 kematian itu, nahas tersebut disifatkan terburuk dalam sejarah nahas

    kemalangan jalan raya di negara ini.

    Ia meragut paling banyak nyawa selepas kemalangan membabitkan sebuah bas ekspres

    di Kilometer 229, Lebuh Raya Utara-Selatan dekat Bukit Gantang, Perak, meragut 21nyawa dan mencederakan lapan yang lain pada 13 Ogos 2007.

    Bas persiaran dua tingkat itu dikatakan hilang kawalan sewaktu menuruni laluan

    berbukit sebelum merempuh pembahagi jalan konkrit berdekatan Kampung Juang di

    sini.

    Bas itu kemudian terpelanting ke laluan bertentangan sebelum terbalik ke dalam

    longkang sedalam satu meter, katanya kepada pemberita di lokasi kejadian di sini, hari

    13. Here is a statement released by a company about the pattern of a childrens diet

    which can affect their health.

    Sebuah syarikat telah mengeluarkan satu pernyataan mengenai corak pemakanan

    kanak-kanak sekolah rendah yang boleh mempengaruhi tahap kesihatan mereka.

    Malaysians are known said to have a happy and get a taste of varieties of food choices.

    So, why are there still so many of our children who suffer from eating disorders? The

    main reason is improper eating habits and food intake is not balanced. This stems from

    a lack of knowledge about nutrition among parents, and also the lack of parental

    attention and care by parents.

    A study conducted two years ago by the National University of Malaysia (UKM) on more

    than 9,000 primary school children aged 7-12 years showed that children in Malaysiahave unhealthy eating habits and lack of physical activity.

    Rakyat Malaysia boleh dikatakan hidup senang dan dimanjakan dengan banyak pilihan

    makanan. Jadi, mengapa masih ramai kanak-kanak kita yang mengalami masalah

    pemakanan? Sebab utama ialah tabiat makan yang tidak betul dan pengambilan

    makanan yang tidak seimbang. Ini berpunca daripada kekurangan pengetahuan

    tentang pemakanan di kalangan ibu bapa, dan juga kekurangan perhatian dan

    penjagaan ibu bapa.

    Satu kajian yang dijalankan dua tahun lepas oleh Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM)

    ke atas lebih 9,000 murid sekolah rendah berumur 7-12 tahun menunjukkan bahawa

    14. Tap water contains dissolved substances (solutes) in it. The amount and type of

    dissolved substances depend on where you live. This is one of the reasons why tap

    water tastes different in the different areas. You can find out how much solute is

    dissolved in water by pouring a small amount into a glass and allowing it to evaporate.

    The white ring or scale left behind in the glass contains minerals that were dissolved in

    the water. Water that contains a lot of dissolved substances is called hard water,while

    water that contains very few dissolved substances is called soft water.

    Air paip mengandungi bahan terlarut di dalamnya. Jumlah dan jenis bahan terlarut

    bergantung pada tempat anda tinggal. Ini merupakan salah satu sebab kenapa rasanya

    berbeza bagi kawasan yang berbeza. Anda boleh mengetahui berapa banyak bahan

    terlarut yang larut di dalam air dengan cara menuangnya sedikit air ke dalam gelas dan
