In the Name Of Allah, the Most Gracious And The Most Merciful.

First and foremost, I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all of you for being selected to join our prestigious Centre for Foundation Studies of the International Islamic University. It is a stiff competition to be in IIUM and you have been granted this opportunity to be with us, with that again I would like to congratulate and welcome you to our Centre. However, being in the Centre does not guarantee you a place at the undergraduate programme. The Centre is a gateway to the undergraduate programme of the university and we have been entrusted to provide you with the best preparatory programme to ensure that you will be well equipped once you embark into the undergraduate programme. As such, we hope that during your stay here, you will do your level best in meeting the expectation of the Kulliyyah and later on, graduate from the Centre with outstanding academic performance. Apart from providing preparatory programme, the Centre has its vision in ensuring that the students are imbued with Islamic values and ethics that they will become graduates with holistic personality. REGISTRATION GUIDELINES 1. INTRODUCTION

Congratulations to all for being selected to join the Centre for Foundation Studies of the International Islamic University Malaysia.

1.1 All the information provided is to prepare you for registration day.

1.2 Please read carefully and follow the instructions given.

2. ACCEPTANCE / REJECTION OF OFFER

If you ACCEPT our offer : -

2.1 You are required to click on-line the ACCEPT OFFER button within seven (7) days from the date of the offer letter, otherwise this offer of admission will automatically be revoked.

2.2 Kindly key-in Student Detail Online form before you print the offer

letter. 2.3 Print the offer letter. Keep it as evidence of acceptance. This offer

letter is not valid for any legal matters EXCEPT for opening bank account and medical check up only.

2.4 Print the “Acceptance / Rejection of Offer” form in the website. Fill in

the required information and mail it to the Centre within seven (7) days from the date of the offer letter.

2.5 For students who are offered Engineering and Computer Science

Programme, please print the “Acceptance / Rejection of Offer” into Engineering and Computer Science Foundation Programme (Y0400) and mail it to the Centre within seven (7) days from the date of the offer letter.

2.6 For deferment case, please submit an official letter before or by

registration day to the following address: Deputy Dean, Admission and Records Department, Centre for Foundation Studies, International Islamic University Malaysia, Jalan Universiti, 46350, Petaling Jaya.

If you REJECT our offer:-

2.7 Please click on-line the REJECT OFFER button within seven (7) days

3. MEDICAL CHECKUP

3.1 Do your X-ray at any private clinic/hospital earlier. Your medical check-up will be done at IIUM Medical Centre on campus after registration. Bring your X-ray film along.

7. ENGLISH PLACEMENT TEST (EPT) and ARABIC PLACEMENT TEST (APT)

7.1 All new students are required to sit for English Placement Test (EPT)

and Arabic Placement Test (APT) during the Ta’aruf Week, in order to determine the level of English and Arabic proficiency. The results of the tests will be used to place students according to their level of proficiency. It is advised that students prepare well for the tests as the results will determine the length of studies in CFS.

7.2 Exemption from EPT

Students who have sat for IELTS or TOEFL before registering, must produce evidence of IELTS or TOEFL qualifications during registration. The following minimum requirements must be met in order to be exempted from EPT:

PAYMENT PROCEDURE

1. Students must settle the entrance fee BEFORE registration.

2. All payments must be banked into our Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad (BMMB) account no. 1205-00030217-13 by using the Pusat Asasi UIA, Petaling Jaya bank in slip ONLY at any branches of Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad (BMMB). Students are required to make payment at the bank counter (please do not use any other method of transfer). No personal cheque or cash will be accepted on registration day.

3. Students will receive two (2) copies of receipt after payment is settled:

a. Student’s copy - To be kept by student. b. UIA’s copy - To be submitted on registration day.

4. THE ENTRANCE FEE IS NON-REFUNDABLE.

5. Students are compulsory to open One Reach Saving Account at any branches of Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad (BMMB) BEFORE registration day. The following documents are required to be submitted to the bank for opening the account :

i. A copy of MyKad (both sides). ii. RM 20.00 for bank deposit. iii. A copy of Offer Letter

RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR OUTING AND VISITING

1. SPECIAL OUTING (Petaling Jaya Campus only)

Day : Tuesday (Pasar Malam) Time : 5:00 p.m – 8:00 p.m Attire : Male : Shirt / T-shirt with collar and trousers Female : Baju Kurung / Jubah

2. WEEKEND OUTING (Friday / Saturday / Sunday & Public Holiday) Day : Friday / Saturday Time : 9:00 a.m – 10:00 p.m Day : Sunday & Public Holiday Time : 9:00 a.m – 7:00 p.m Attire : Male : Shirt / T-shirt with collar and trousers Female : Baju Kurung / Jubah

3. OVERNIGHT OUTING

Female : Baju Kurung / Jubah Note : Permission from fellow must first be obtained using the Overnight Outing Card.

4. EMERGENCY OUTING

5. VISITING HOURS

PROCEDURES: 1. All visitors are required to leave the identity card (IC) or driving license for security

purposes before being given a Visitor’s Tag by the security guard. 2. All visitors are requested to display the Visitor’s Tag during the visiting time in the

campus. 3. All visitors are required to return the Visitor’s Tag before leaving the campus at the

Main Entrance Guard Post. 4. Special permission from the Residential Management and Discipline Department or

the Security Office is needed for visiting outside the visiting hours stated above.

Notes: The Department may make amendment(s) or addition(s) to these rules and regulations from time to time. Such amendments or additions shall be subject to confirmation by the Management of the Centre for Foundation Studies, IIUM.
