SAMPLE ESSAY : The person I admire

The person I admire is my eldest sister, Sarah. She is twenty-two years old and has a fair complexion. I admire my sister, Sarah because she is beautiful both on the inside and outside. Sarah is svelte and looks sophisticated in any dress. She may be dressed in an old T-shirt and shorts but still looks fantastic because she is graceful and has great legs. I am proud to have such a beautiful sister. Of course, she is admired by many but she treats all of them as friends. This is because she is still studying in a university and she wants to build her profession first.

I admire my sister, Sarah mostly because she is sincere, kind and philanthropic. She has never lied to me so I can trust her. She is kind to me and my other siblings. My eldest sister always assists me in my studies because she is clever although she always denies it.

Sarah is the most diligent person I have ever known. She gives tuition three times a week and works part-time during the holidays. Her pastimes are gardening, reading and cooking. When she is around, we enjoy her sumptuous cooking such as asam laksa, asam fish and a variety of local and western cakes.

Because I adore her so much, I attempt to be like her and even imitate the way she talks. My parents know about this and have asked me to stop being someone I am not.
