Sedangkan Bukan Angkatan Kerja berjumlah 293.980 orang (71.383 orang yang sekolah; 189.554 orang mengurus rumah-tangga; dan 33.043 orang dengan kegiatan lainnya. Tingkat Partisipasi Angkatan Kerja (TPAK) tercatat 69,27 dan Tingkat Pengangguran Terbuka (TPT) terdaftar 3,18. Indeks Pembangunan Manusia (IPM) sebesar 65,73.

PerekonomianSecara umum tampak pertumbuhan ekonomi Sulawesi Barat tahun 2019 mencapai 5,66%. Pertumbuhan tersebut ditopang oleh tumbuhnya beberapa sektor ekonomi.
