Consist of 10 mukim with 2 different administration:

i) Majlis Daerah Mersing ii) Pihak Berkuasa Perancang Tempatan Daerah Mersing.

Population in Mersing is estimated about 85,200 people

Economic depend more on agriculture and fishery sector
