Students will learn about how to introduce themselves by using introductionexpressions. Then, students respond some expressions in both oral and written forms.

Tell your day

Students will learn about how to tell about their daily activities. Students use

simple present tense to express habitual activities. Students also learn about how to tell

other’s activities.

Listen and say

Students will listen a dialogue about jobs from the cassette and repeat it.

Activity 4

Listen, Say and Write

Students listen and repeat vocabularies about kinds of jobs from the cassette.

Students write the names of the jobs the pictures in the box.

Do you know?

Students are given kinds of verbs dealing with jobs. Students will know the use of

the verbs in sentences.

Students identify the jobs based on the sentences. Then, students match the jobs

Par t - t ime Job

I have a part-time job. My job is in a restaurant. It’s good because

I work at lunchtime when I finish my study at school. I work in the

kitchen as a cook assisstant. It is hard work, but the people I work with

are very nice. We don’t earn much money, but we laugh a lot.

Sometimes we go out together after work too. Some of them eat their

lunch at work because it’s free. But I don’t do that because I prefer to

eat at home with my family.

When you start a new job, people forget to tell you things, so youhave to ask lots of questions. For example, in the kitchen we have to

wear a hat and a white coat over our clothes. The restaurant gives us

these, but it is our job to wash them. Nobody tell me about this until

my coat is really dirty. I am so embarrassed! Then my friends at work

all say: ‘Why don’t you ask us?
