  • ELIGIBILITY

    To be considered for an SME100 Award, your company must fulfill the following criteria:

    THE SME100 AND ASEAN ECONOMIC COMMUNITY 2015

    2015 will see the full implementation of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) Framework - allowing for greater trade, skilled labour, investment and capital flow across the ASEAN-10 countries. The SME100 is the only recognition programme to take place across ASEAN, including Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Thailand - allowing you direct access to these markets and business opportunities. SME100 is the only truly regional awards for fast growing companies.

    FAQ

    1. Am I guaranteed to win by submitting a Nomination? The SME100 system is designed to be both impartial and independent from external influences. As such, all Nominations will be weighed against the proprietary SME100 Methodology and are considered solely on the merits of the Nomination. Ultimately, the stringent criteria adopted ensure that if you are selected as a Winner, you know that it is because you qualified for it, and not because you have paid for the Nomination.

    2. Will I be asked to pay additional fees should I be chosen as a Winner? If you are announced as a Winner, you will be given the opportunity to partake in an optional marketing programme designed to maximise your exposure from the SME100 programme. The programme is optional and will not affect your chances of being selected as a Winner. Of course, you will only receive benefits tied to the marketing programme should you participate in them. Please speak to your Nomination Advisor should you need further clarification on this.

    3. Is my submission Confidential? We do not disclose information about your Company to anyone. We also do not disclose your submission should your Company not be chosen as a Winner. We may, however, use information provided for statistical, research and reporting purposes. However, profit and other figures may be used for research purposes, for which authorisation is deemed to have been received from all participating companies upon submission of the Nomination Form. The organisers decisions on all aspects of this programme including ranking, evaluation and publication of the list will be final. Additionally, should you be chosen to be a Winner, your name and images will be used to promote you and your Company.

    Annual turnover of minimum RM1 million or full time employees of minimum 20 for manufacturing, manufacturing-related and agro-based industries. Annual turnover of minimum RM500,000 or full time employees of minimum 10 for services, primary agriculture and ICT industries.

    Can either be a holding company or a subsidiary. If the holding company participates, all subsidiaries will not be eligible.
