Realia

Specimens

Natural Realia

Page 7: 3D Material

Natural Realia

• This is the real stuff of life, and still alive like earthworms, grasshoppers

• Or rigid materials (non-living) such as machinery, equipment and others.

Page 8: 3D Material

• Sustainable Realia

• Living materials that have been preserved and stored in a chemical fluid. Example, fish and insects.

Page 9: 3D Material

• Specimens

• a sample or example of living creatures.

• For example, leaves can be used as a specimen to show the general properties of a group of plants.

Model• Model is built appearance of the original material or substance

that may be made of a hard material such as clay, plasticine and rubber.

• Acquire properly constructed concept because students can see the real thing.

• Learning will become more meaningful because the students can learn from authentic materials.

• Students are able to understand the nature, structure and movement of the item

Page 43: 3D Material

• Provide experience about the real situation of a substance or thing.

• Encourage pupils to make further studies on an event or product.

• Provide more opportunities for students to interact with each other.
